Isn't this fun?

I can't help myself!  I LOVE pretty colors and tend to stay away from the urban/dreary ones.  Totally fell for this set of happy sentiments from My Favorite Things.  Bo Bunny "Fruit Stand" paper. And lots of opportunity to use Copic pens.

A sweet valentine

I've been making all kinds of valentines over the past few weeks.  Love this Impression Obsession die!  The design is so very simple but so pretty!  Found the ribbon at Michaels.  PTI white and Hibiscus Burst cardstock.

Experimenting with Watercolors

My sister Penny gave me a set of artist-quality watercolors for Christtmas.  I was trained in using watercolor as when I was 11 years old and that certainly has helped a lot when it comes to using Copic pens.  But the idea of using actual watercolor has intrigued me and I wondered if it would hold up with the die inks I use for card design.  Got some watercolor paper from Ellen Hutson and used a stamp from Flourishes.  It works!!! I was so pleased!  A whole new arena for card-making!

I made that Christmas card for my friend., Jerri.  She brought it in to our crafting group a couple of Saturdays ago so she could show me how it matched a J. Jill sweater she owned!  What's interesting is that I chose the colors and design specifically because the "looked" like her to me.

Make It Monday

Been ages since I posted any cards!  Christmas travel and now I'm making a bunch of Valentines.  But I saw that today's PTI post actually used stuff that I have.  The assignment was to use multi layering on a lined image and lo & behold, I came up with the Rose from the Year of a Flowers series.  No multiple stamping on the sentiment, which came from Basket of Blessings.  It would've looked messy and unbalanced with the Rose!  Now, if I can just remember how to upload this!
