MIM 216 Adding Color to Coverplates

Today's Make It Monday challege was to use a large die (known as a coverplate because it is usually sized to cover most of the front of a typical A2 sized card) and color it.  I've already used the peony coverplate which was displayed as an example quite a few times, so I looked for something different and came up with these stars!  July 4th will bere before we know it and turning them into firewoeks seemed perfect.  I wish the sparkles on them showed up more, but still they are pretty against a twilight sky.  Used my Kuretke Clear Color pens for the strars.

Card stock:  PTI Stampers Select White
PTI inks for the sky: Lemon Tart, Orange Zest, Melon Berry, Spring Rain
Stars:  Kuretake Clean Color pens, Wink of Stella plus glitter

  4. This is such a fantastic card. I spotted it a couple of days ago when I was looking at the MIM gallery for inspiration. I wanted to let you know that you inspired my card--I decided to use the same hanging star die for my card. Love how you used your water colors, and also made such a pretty sponged background for your card.
